About me
I am a freelancer Data Scientist born in Genzano di Roma on the 2nd of May 1996. Raised in the countryside, I completed my undergraduate studies in Physics at La Sapienza. In 2018 I joined the Master of Physics of Complex Systems, a double degree program run by the Politecnico di Torino and the largest universities in Paris.
Lifelong enthusiast of Maths and Physics, during the first covid wave I developed my thesis "Characterization and forecast of online music consumption dynamics" at the SONY Computer Science Lab of Paris, where I was exposed to the world of AI, until that moment only met in books.
I currently work remotely as Data Scientist for NewAutomotive, a fast-growing startup based in London accelerating the switch to electric, and I am based in Paris, even though I am considering the idea of living a digital nomad life for a while.
In my spare time, I do love experimenting with my guitar, doing outdoor activities and travelling when I can. Although I am not an academic anymore, I still spend time reading books of maths and studying the topics that most interested me during my studies.
Contents
In the Era of Data I will publish mainly three types of contents:
- Exciting and potentially useful projects of Data Science I am/was involved in. The idea is that each post of this type will show the tools I have found helpful to tackle the most disparate challenges.
- Exciting and potentially useless posts about maths and physics. I often think that some results I studied are really cool, and they are worth making more accessible. I will try to complement these kinds of posts with python scripts to have something to play with.
- Exciting and potentially inspiring adventures/travels. In February 2022 I had my first experience as a backpacker and I really loved it. I don't have in mind to publish pictures of fancy meals I had in exotic places, the idea is just to share what really unexpectedly impresses me. Probably this kind of post will be the least frequent as I don't travel every week and I don't want to publish frivolous posts just to share nice pics. I hope I will have crazy adventures soon.
